The general surgeons at Frisbie Memorial Hospital provide a wide range of services including all types of general surgical procedures on adult and pediatric patients - both laparoscopically and open. Surgical procedures include:

Frisbie's general surgeons utilize the latest technology to perform state-of-the-art cancer surgery including breast, colon, melanoma, soft tissue and thyroid. They also perform complex laparoscopic colon surgery to treat many colorectal diseases including cancer and diverticulitis. In conjunction with the Women's Life Imaging Center in Somersworth, NH, breast cancer treatment and diagnosis is all state-of-the-art with stereotactic and ultrasound-guided biopsies. They have been using minimally invasive sentinel lymph node technology in the treatment of cancer for years. Frisbie's surgeons have a comprehensive cancer treatment program and work closely with a team of physicians and allied health professionals who care for the whole patient and family.

Many procedures can be performed in the office at Rochester Surgical Associates' minor surgery facility, resulting in a more convenient and patient-friendly experience without the need for hospitalization. Some of these procedures include vasectomies, mole removals, lumps and bumps, abscesses, and even minimally invasive breast surgeries.
