Geriatric Psychiatry - Outpatient

The Geropsychiatry Services Department (GPU) provides mental health resources for inpatient and outpatient adults, age 65 and older. We accept referrals from many sources, including families, health care providers; social service/home care agencies, mental health centers, and nursing homes.

Geriatric Psychiatry cares for seniors who are struggling with psychiatric challenges, including dementia, Alzheimer's disease, behavioral issues, major depression and mental illness. The team is comprised of geriatric psychiatrists, a nurse practitioner, nurses, social workers, and therapists working together to help patients live as comfortably as possible.

Outpatient Services

Outpatient treatment may include medication, cognitive therapy, and/or psychotherapy. Our physicians see patients at the contracted facilities listed below as well as at the hospital. Patients may be referred by their primary care provider or may self-refer.

Geriatric Psychiatrist, Dr. Tricia Mendoza, is fluent is Filipino. Geriatric Psychiatrist and Medical Director of GPU, Dr. Michel Rondon, is fluent in Spanish.

Outpatient Office Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
